CATALINA

Catalina, an unincorporated residential community, lies in the foothills of the mile-high Catalina Mountains in the valley formed by the Canada del Oro wash. Nearby Catalina State Park and Coronado National Forest offer hiking and riding trails.

Catalina's climate is 5 to 10 degrees cooler and rainfall 50% more abundant than nearby Tucson. In the 2000 census the population was 7025.
